Basketball VS. Baseball


        Basketball and baseball are sports that are very much 
alike and very different in numerous ways. Sports like these 
two are played all over the world on a daily basis. They are 
played as professions, in schools, and just for fun. So sit back
and enjoy two of the most admired sports. 
Basketball and baseball both use fields and/or courts 
for there recreational purposes. In contrast, basketball uses
a wooden court. It’s found indoors and its glazed so the 
players don’t slide. Basketball isn’t played on the grass 
because it would be impossible to bounce the ball. Although, 
it is played at times outside on cement courts. Baseball is
played on a grassy fields, much unlike basketball. The fields 
are large and have 4 bases, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and home base. It is
also marked with chalk for the runners. Baseball players 
wouldn’t have the ability to play on a wooden courts
because they have to have a firm surface when they are 
running. 
Another thing, that is unlike in the two sports is the 
players uniforms. The baseball players wear taut pants and
 tight long sleeve shirts. Sometimes they wear baseball hats.
Of course they year shoes, but the shoes they wear are 
special shoes called cleats. These shoes have spikes at the 
end to keep you in place when you are running. Basketball
players wear thin material shorts that fall to their knees. To 
go along with this they wear a sleeveless shirt made of the 
same thin material. For shoe wear they sport off high top 
sneakers. 
Basketball and baseball are two extremely different 
sports as you can tell in my paper. I have contrasted the two
sports and stated how different there playing area and there
uniforms are. I now understand a little more about why 
Americans and other people all over the world love them both so much.
